Real Impact Provides a Positive Ripple Effect On those You Care About

Updated: Jun 17

Real impact as a woman in business isn't just about results, it's actually about how you allow your decisions to impact every aspect of life. Whether that is choosing to nurse your baby with your milk, or making changes to your schedule to offer them a more supportive learning environment - there's nothing more important than your involvement with their growth. And in the process, you'll grow too.

At the height of my career as a photographer, I couldn't figure out the purpose of this work. I was traveling across the country to support families in maternal health, but my own children were suffering being bullied at school by students AND teachers.

Homeschooling wasn't just a choice, it was a calling! It completely changed my perspective about my purpose of being an entrepreneur and allowed me to step into the most difficult, yet rewarding job of my lifetime - managing our children's education. It's not for weak or faint of heart, but I learned how to pivot in business to make it work.

And, our youngest son was in kindergarten for only 30 days, but he participated in their 5th grade financial literacy program!

Here's to making decisions that not only impact your bottom line, but also have a positive ripple effect on those that you love most.
